The Gatlins' Photography began as Tony Gatlin Photography in 2014. Tony Gatlin, a 20-year Air Force veteran, began taking photographs as a hobby while still in the Air Force. After retiring, Tony moved back home to Arkansas where he took up photography as a business, first as Strictly Art Photography, and then settling on Tony Gatlin Pho
The Gatlins' Photography began as Tony Gatlin Photography in 2014. Tony Gatlin, a 20-year Air Force veteran, began taking photographs as a hobby while still in the Air Force. After retiring, Tony moved back home to Arkansas where he took up photography as a business, first as Strictly Art Photography, and then settling on Tony Gatlin Photography once he found his niche in sports photography.
Colt began working as an assistant to his father in his early 20s. He held lights, helped pose students, took order forms, and lugged around equipment. While working with his father, Colt started taking classes at his father's alma mater, The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He started taking photos, he learned how to edit photos, and he earned his Bachelors' of Fine Arts degree in sculpting in 2022. Tony Gatlin Photography became Colt's full-time job.
Shortly after Colt graduated, Tony decided to retire in August of 2024, selling his business brand to Colt. The business changed from Tony Gatlin Photography to The Gatlins' Photography keeping the "TGP" in honor of his dad and his dad's legacy.
